A New Friend

Introducing....."Shawna"

Alex got this little snake for his birthday from his little friend Addison. He has been caring for his little snake like an expert herpetologist, and this evening he announced that her name is Shauna. Not sure where that came from, but apparently she is the newest member of our family! For those of you who know me, you knew that I basically grew up at The Children's Museum working with all kinds of animals. And which were my favorite??? That's right....the snakes!!!! Nature vs. Nurture?? I think not!
***I will be posting pics from our party weekend soon****

The Language of Noah

I stand amazed at how quickly the boys are growing and changing. Noah, for example, has just had an explosion in his vocabulary. Granted, it is hard to understand what he is saying, but Mommy knows! So, here is a cheat sheet for those of you conversing with my little Noodle:

TZEUS = Juice
BESHOO= Bless you
POO= Pool
UDDAPOO= Other Pool
WAYGUPAGECKS=Wake up Alex!
BEE-I-BACK= Be right back
MOWATTA= More water (when you hear these words, you must chase him because he is heading for a faucet somewhere!!!)
PILL!!!= Spill
HEPMECHOOCHOOCHAIN=Help me choo choo train (usually means that there has been a break in the train tracks!)
FITZ BATT-A-IES= Fix Batteries (as in Thomas the Train has yet again run out of batteries)
ME BUCKA!= Me buckle (in the car)
LUB-EW= Love you!

This is just a small sampling, and of course, he repeats EVERYTHING.....so watch your mouth Opa!!!!

Conversation with Alex

This weekend I had the following conversation with Alex:

Mommy: Do you remember where you were born?

Alex: What-a-maya (Translation: Guatemala)

Mommy: Hey, that's great. What about Noah? Do you remember where he was born?

Alex: In a school bus.

Wordless Wednesday

The Beginning of a Beautiful Relationship

Last night (yes, LAST NIGHT....not a week ago, not a month ago...not Once Upon a Time.....) the boys and I had d the first of many fun days at "The Rivi." I finally got around to signing us up, so we had to go explore. The place is WONDERFUL! So many neighborhood kids hang here all summer....it is THE destination place for families in our community. I am looking forward to hopefully many fun summer days here---the boys had a BLAST!!!!!

Ready.....Set...SPLASH!

This little water slide is FABULOUS!If you look at the picture closely, all you will see are Noah's feet sticking out of the water--he loved going airborne and then totally going underwater. Once I recovered from my heart attack, it was much fun!!!
The kid pool is the PERFECT depth for the boys--they can "swim" or just wade around.

I actually had a hard time keeping the boys above water.....they are both little fish...er...I'm sorry....Sharks!

Noah decides it's time for a little siesta!!! "Towel me!" is his way of telling me he wants to be wrapped up in towel!!! TOO CUTE!!!

Oh yes, we WILL be back!!!

Fun with Oma and Opa

For some strange reason, Oma and Opa have been coming to see us A LOT lately!!! They really seem to enjoy "relaxing" with the boys!!!!!
Nice Catch, Opa!!!!!!!The Willis Snack Bar is OPEN!!!

Once again, we were blessed with GORGEOUS weather for another outdoor birthday bash!!! We had a great afternoon of splashing in the pool and digging in the sandbox with friends. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate this special day with our "little" Noah!!!
