First Colts Game!

Alex and the Indianapolis Colts have a long history together. The day after I got "the call" to pick up Alex in Guatemala, our Colts won the Superbowl. Alex has been a Colts fan his "whole life." Some of his first words were, "GO COKES!" Any why not? This Colts franchise has been unstoppable for the past 5 years!!! He has asked to go to games, but it just was not possible. Until this year. OK, so now the Colts SUCK, BUT who cares!!?? My son and I had one of the best times of our lives together this past Sunday watching the Colts get TROUNCED by the Atlanta Falcons. We bonded over our common disgust with the defense, our pessimistic view of Painter, and our disbelief of the offensive line. This is what dreams are made of, people!!!! AND Someday....when he is older and the Colts once again return to the Glory Days, he can tell all his friends that he was THERE...he was THERE when the Colts could not stop the run. He was THERE when Painter was picked off repeatedly. He was THERE when Lucas Oil Stadium actually erupted in a sonic boom when the Colts merely got a first down.

Our day in Pictures:

Game Face!!!

I have to admit...the stadium/atmosphere is impressive!

A LITTLE excited.

This was arguably Alex's favorite part: He is into "army men" right now, and he just thought this display of The Colors was the best.

With the roof/window open, we faced directly into the sun...GORGEOUS day!

This was late in the 4th quarter. Many fans had left. Not us. No way. Alex insisted on staying. SO, even though our Colts are 0-9 now, yesterday's game was the best ever....This little guy LOVES football, and I had so much fun sharing this experience with him. GO Lions!! ...er...I mean....GO COLTS!!!

Halloween and Trick-or-Treat K-Krew Style!

OMG...this is the year that Trick-or-Treating could have been considered an Olympic event. There was the DASH...to each house, HIGH JUMP over bushes on the way to said house, BOXING to get smaller children out of the way of the candy, WEIGHT LIFTING to carry the bags o'candy, and finally, the collapse into bed...aka the Closing Ceremony.

Getting ready to head out at the "Crazy" neighbors' house. Hee Hee

The ever-present Engine 16!!!

Getting warmed up for Trick-or Treating K-Krew Style!!!!

It's not official until there is a Cardinal (or monk) to send off the children.....don's ask.

Other Halloween activities earlier in the week: Spooky faces at home, Rivi Monster Bash and Breakfast with the Witches!

Halloween: The First 4 Years

Another Halloween has come and gone. And despite a massive headache, this Mama still made it out to Trick-or-Treat with the boys. Noah wanted to be a fireman. Check. In the 11th hour, he is adamant that he wants to be a cat. Soooo..thanks to a little creativity and serious help from Oma and Opa, his transformation was complete! Alex was our SWAT man. The only thing spooky about these photos is how much the boys have changed over the years!!!
